ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CUSAT CAT 2018

  • There are certain criteria necessary for CUSAT CAT 2018.
  • The candidates need to be sure for the fulfilment of each criteria before appearing for the examination.

Subject Combination

  • Compulsory subjects: Physics & Mathematics.
  • Optional Subjects: Chemistry

Academic Criteria

  • Candidates must qualify XII examination or any other equivalent examination of the state of Kerala with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry combined.

For Instrumentation Technology 

  • Candidates must qualify XII examination or any other equivalent examination and must secure a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, physics, Chemistry collectively and at least 55% marks in Mathematics.  
  • Candidates belonging to the state of Kerala must secure 50% marks in Mathematics as well as an aggregate of 55% marks in PCM put together.

For Marine Engineering –

  •  The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination or any other equivalent examination from the state of Kerala with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as a separate subject.
  • The candidate must have obtained not less than 60% marks in PCM and minimum 50% in Mathematics also.
  • He/She should have passed in English in class X and XII with 50% marks.
  • Candidates with a valid GATE score card are eligible for 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination marks for M.Tech Programmes.
  • Those candidates want to get admission in the M.Tech programme (except Marine engineering), they have to clear GATE 2018 or DAT 2018 (conducted by the university).
