JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern:

JEE MAIN 2018 EXAM PATTERN:

  • JEE Mains 2018 will have two papers- Paper I is for B.E/B.Tech and Paper II is for B.Arch/ B.Planning.
  • Candidates can choose any exam according to their interest. If any candidate wants to appear in both the papers, there is an option available for both exams.
  • Paper I is conducted in both online and offline mode whereas  Paper II is conducted only in offline mode.
  • The exam pattern includes the number of questions in the paper, time duration, total marks, mode of the exam and all things. Complete details about the exam are given below:

Paper I Details

  • Paper I consists of questions from Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics.
  • All the subjects will have an equal amount of questions i.e. 30 questions from each subject.
  • All questions will be the multiple-choice type, and the participants have to choose one correct answer out of four options.
  • Four marks will be awarded for the each correct answer.
  • Negative marking will be applicable and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • For not opting for any option in any question, no marks will be deducted.
  • The duration of exam will be of 3 hours.
  • All calculations work is to be done only on the rough sheet provided at the exam centre. On completion of the paper, candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the examination hall.

Paper II Details

  • Paper II consists of three parts- Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing.
  • There are total 50 questions for aptitude, 30 questions in Mathematics and 2 question in Drawing.
  • Objective questions are designed for mathematics and aptitude test. Each question carries 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Each drawing question carries 70 marks.
  • Remember to attempt both drawing questions on a separate answer sheet.
