EXAM PATTERN OF NEET PG 2018

  • NEET PG test will be of multiple choice format. The test should be taken on the computer-based platform.
  • There will be 300 MCQs with a single correct answer given in English alone.
  • The total time given for the test is three hours and thirty minutes.
  • The weightage for each question is indicative and it is purely provisional.
  • The mark each question carries might vary from one question to another.
  • There will not be any negative marking in the test.
  • Here is the subject-wise weightage of questions in numbers for each section:
    • Anatomy – 15 questions
    • Physiology – 15 questions
    • Biochemistry – 15
    • Pharmacology – 20
    • Microbiology – 20
    • Pathology – 25
    • Forensic medicine – 10
    • Preventive & social medicine – 25
    • Medicine dermatology, & venereology – 37
    • Surgery, ENT, orthopaedics & anaesthesia – 46
    • Radio diagnosis & radio therapy – 12
    • Obstetrics & gynecology – 25
    • Paediatrics – 15
    • Ophthalmology – 10
    • Psychiatry – 10
  • The total number of questions will be 300, which will be divided as above.
  • The syllabus for these topics will be as per the latest MBBS syllabus as notified by the Medical Council of India.
