GET ANSWER KEY OF UPCPMT 2018 EXAM
Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test was previously the admission test conducted for medical admissions in the state of UP. In other words, it was the state entrance test for admission to the medical colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
But, from the year 2017, this test similar to the medical entrance tests in other states in India is replaced by NEET. Now, NEET is the single-window entrance test for all medical courses in India across states.
Who was Conducting the Test?
Earlier, the Government of Uttar Pradesh entrusted the responsibility of organising the UPCPMT to Avadh University. This test was conducted for admission of the right students not just to MBBS and BDS courses, but also for the admission to other alternative medical courses like BUMS, BAMS, and BHMS.
When was the Last Examination Conducted?
Before NEET, the UPCPMT was previously conducted on the 17th of May 2016. The syllabus of the test was based on the state intermediate science syllabus. The test had a single paper with 200 questions in total. There were 50 questions each from physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany. It took 15 days after the date of the test for publishing results.
Were Candidates Able to Judge Their Scores?
Yes, as students had to wait for the results to be published for 15 days, many private coaching institutions that were offering to coach for UPCPMT published their answer key to help candidates judge their score immediately within a day or two after the test.
Benefit to Test Takers:
To help test-takers judge their score, they were allowed to take a copy of the entrance test answer sheet along with them after the test. The reason is that the answer sheet had three carbon copies.
