UPSEE/UPTU APPLICATION FORM, PROCEDURE 2018

  • The online application form is released from the 18th of January 2018 and it will be open until 5 pm on the 28th of February 2018.
  • Applications should be submitted online through the website of UPSEE - click here for application
  • The application form online is self-explanatory for making the filling up easier for applicants.
  • In the case of any doubt and if they need help in filling up the application, they can get in touch with the toll-free number at 1800-180-0161 or they can also send an email to helpdeskupsee17@gmail.com. When sending such a mail, they are recommended to maintain the subject line of the mail as ‘seeking help’.
  • The online application form submission is a three-step process, where the first step is registration, second is uploading the scanned copy of photograph, signature, and thumb impression of the applicant and the third step is the payment of the examination fee and printing of confirmation page.
  • Before starting the registration process, candidates are recommended to keep the following things ready to make the process easier:
    • A personal mobile phone number and/or a personal Email ID.
    • A clear scanned image of the applicant’s photo of size 3.5x4.5 cm that should be recent.
    • The photo should be in JPEG format with an utmost size of 100 KB.
    • The photo should be front facing the camera and the face should be visible clearly.
    • The background should be uncluttered and preferably white or off-white.
    • The photograph should be a color image with the name of the candidate typed under the photo.
    • The photo should be without goggles or cap. Those wearing specs can take the photo as it is with specs.
    • If the photo is not clear, the application might be rejected.
    • Candidates are recommended to keep 6-8 copies of the same photo in reserve to use during the examination.
    • Candidate should also have a scanned image of his/her signature in the size of 3.5cm X 1.5 cm in JPEG format and the size should not be more than 30 KB.
    • Also, the clear image of thumb impression in the same format and the same size as the signature.
  • Once an applicant is ready with everything mentioned above, he/she can move on to the following steps to apply.

How to Apply?

  • For those applying to UG, they should click on the appropriate link and the same thing should be done by those applying for PG.
  • This will take them to the page of applying with a new screen that contains the instructions and procedures to be followed for submitting the application for UPSEE 2018 online. Candidates are recommended to read the instructions carefully before clicking on the proceed button to start the registration process.
  • The online application is self-explanatory and so filling up will be easier. The first things to be filled up are the personal details of the applicant along with the name of the father and mother, domicile, etc.
  • Once the fundamental details are filled up carefully without any mistake, candidates will have to choose a password along with a security question. Candidates are recommended to remember the password until the examination. The login credentials are essential for logging in to the official website of UPTU in the future.
  • There is the option called ‘edit’ to make any changes to the application before submitting the application.
  • Once, all the details are entered correctly, candidates can opt for submitting the application. This will take them to the review page, where they can check whether all details are correct.
  • After final submission of the application, candidates will get an application number. This application number should be used for all future correspondences.
  • Once the first step is completed, candidates will have to move on to the second step of the registration process, where they will have to upload their photograph, left-hand thumb impression and signature.
  • The photograph should be in the size of 3.5cm X 4.5 cm, while that of left-hand thumb impression and signature should be 3.5cm x 1.5 cm. All three files should be in JPEG format and the size of the photo should not be more than 100 KB, while that of thumb impression and signature should not be more than 30 KB.
  • Candidates are recommended to check all three images uploaded to make sure that they are clear and correct as per the specifications before they click the save button. Once, they choose to save the same, they will not be able to make any changes.  If the images are not clear, there are chances of rejection of the entire application.
  • Once this second step is completed, candidates can move on to the third step of payment of examination fee.

Examination Fee:

  • Once the registration and the second step of uploading images are completed, candidates can move on to pay the examination fee.
  • Candidates can make the fee payment only online using net banking/debit or credit card.
  • The appropriate mode of payment of their choice should be chosen by candidates and they should then proceed the payment link. All visa/master card payments will be accepted. Candidates are recommended to keep their card details ready before proceeding to the payment section.
  • Apart from the examination fee, candidates will have to bear the bank charges as well.
  • The fee to be paid is Rs.1200 for male and transgender applicants belonging to general/OBC category. The fee is Rs.600 for SC/ST and all women candidates.
  • Once the payment is made by the applicant, a transaction number will be generated by the system. This number should be secured by candidates for future reference.
  • If the payment becomes successful, there will be a link on the screen reading ‘download confirmation page’. This confirmation page should be downloaded and should be saved by the candidates for their record. Candidates are also recommended to take two hard copies of the confirmation page and keep them safe for their future communication purposes. The confirmation page will have the application number and it need not be sent to the authorities. Candidates should keep the confirmation page safe for their future reference.
