CS (COMPANY SECRETARY) EXECUTIVE COURSE DETAILS
Any candidate can register for CS Executive programme if he/she has completed the ICSI CS foundation course or a degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The degree can be from any streams other than fine arts. The candidate must be of less than 17 years old on the date of ICSI Executive Registration.
CS Executive Registration:
The CS Executive Registration for the course needs the student to apply in the prescribed format. Applicants will have to pay the required fee along with the application. Those taking up oral coaching mode can hand over the applications to the oral coaching centre. With the registration application, candidates need not have to submit the original certificates. In addition to a degree, candidates with a pass in the final examination conducted by ICWAI, ICAI and any other accounting institution in India or abroad as recognized as equivalent thereto can also apply.
CS Executive Subjects:
There are two modules in the CS Executive Programme, where there are 4 papers in the first module and 3 papers in the second module. Here is the list of 7 CS Executive Subjects:
- Paper 1 – Company Law
- Paper 2 – Cost and Management Accounting
- Paper 3 – Economic and Commercial Laws
- Paper 4 – Tax laws and practice
- Paper 5 - Company Accounts and Auditing Practices
- Paper 6 – Capital Markets and Securities Laws
- Paper 7 – Industrial, Labour and General Laws
CS Executive Syllabus:
According to the new company secretary course syllabus, there are 7 papers as mentioned under the CS Executive Subjects section. The above –mentioned subjects in the CS Executive Programme comprise of different parts and they are listed below:
- Paper 1 – Company Law (100 Marks)
- Paper 2 - Cost and Management Accounting (100 Marks)
- Paper 3 – Economic and Commercial Laws (100 Marks)
- Part A – 70 Marks
- Part B - 30 Marks
- Paper 4 – Tax laws and practice (100 Marks)
- Paper 5 - Company Accounts and Auditing Practices (100 Marks)
- Paper 6 – Capital Markets and Securities Laws (100 Marks)
- Paper 7 – Industrial, Labour and General Laws (100 Marks)

CS Executive Registration Fees:
The executive program in Company Secretary Course is otherwise called as an intermediate course. The CS Executive registration fee is Rs.2000.
CS Executive Result:
In general, the result of the June examination conducted for Executive Level ICSI course is published in the month of July. For the December Examination, the CS Executive results are published in the following month of January.
CS Executive Exam Dates:
As far as the Executive Examination for June is concerned, the examination dates generally fall around the first week of the month. Similarly, for December, the dates fall in the last week of December. This is as per the trends for June and December 2017 examination.
CS Executive Exam Fees:
The fee for Executive Programme examination is Rs.1200 per module. If a candidate submits the application for examination after the last date, there will also be a late fee of Rs.250. For physically challenged candidates, there will be a concession of 25% on the fee applicable to the general category candidates. In the case of SC/ST candidates, the concession is that they will have to pay just 50% of the fee applicable to general category candidates.
CS Executive New Syllabus:

CS Executive Exam Form:
From the June 2017 session, as against the old system of CS Executive exam form, ICSI has facilitated the examination enrollment process through the new software module. All students in the old system were, therefore, recommended by the Institute to reset their password as the initial step in the direction of moving to the new system. The Institute has also uploaded different user manuals on the official website to help students understand the new system.
CS Executive Fees:
The fee for CS Executive programme is Rs.9000, which includes foundation examination exemption fee of Rs.500, the registration fee of Rs.2000 and education fee of Rs.6500. This fee is applicable for commerce graduates, candidates with a pass in CPT conducted by ICAI and also for candidates with a pass in ICAI-CMA course.
In the case of students from the non-commerce background, they will have to pay Rs.10000 as the total fee.
The extra Rs. 1000 is for postal tuition fee for foundation course payable by non-commerce graduates seeking exemption from passing the foundation course. The total fee applicable for the executive programme for students with CS Foundation certificate is Rs.8500.
Physically handicapped candidates are exempted from the course fee and they will have to pay only the registration fee of Rs.2000. In the case of SC/ST candidates, they get 50% concession. This means that SC/ST commerce graduates should pay Rs.4500, while non-commerce SC/ST graduates will have to pay Rs.5000.
