The CS Professional Programme is shortly referred to as PP. This will be the third level programme in the stages of achieving a CS certification for candidates taking up the CS course after their higher secondary, while it will be the second level for candidates taking up the CS course after their graduation. The minimum duration for the Professional programme is 10 months.

CS Professional Subjects:

Candidates taking up CS Professional course will have to clear 9 subjects in total. The 9 CS professional subjects are divided into 3 modules. Here is the list of papers in CS Professional Programme:

Module 1:

  • Paper 1 – Advanced Company Law and Practice
  • Paper 2 – Secretarial Audit, Compliance Management and Due Diligence
  • Paper 3 – Corporate restructuring, valuation and insolvency

Module 2:

  • Paper 4: Information Technology and Systems Audit
  • Paper 5: Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
  • Paper 6: Ethics, Governance and Sustainability

Module 3:

  • Paper 7: Advanced Tax Laws and Practice
  • Paper 8: Drafting, Appearance and Pleadings
  • Paper 9: Electives 1 out of 5 subjects:
    • 9.1 – Banking law and practice
    • 9.2 – Capital, Commodity and Money Market
    • 9.3 – Insurance Law and Practice
    • 9.4 – Intellectual Property Rights – Law and Practice
    • 9.5 – International business-laws and practices

CS Professional Registration:

CS Professional registration is a 10-step process. The registration can be done right through the website of ICSI at www.icsi.edu. CS Professional Syllabus:

There are totally 9 papers in the CS Professional programme. Of these 9, the 9th paper is an elective paper, where the candidates are provided with the option to choose their favourite among the 5 different options provided by the ICSI. CS Professional Result:

Candidates can check their results from the page at http://icsi.examresults.net/. The results of the examination conducted for the professional programme is published in July, while for December examination, it is published in the month of January of the following year. In this web page, candidates can know their results by providing their roll number.

CS Professional Exam Fees:

The examination fee for the professional programme is similar to that of the Executive programme at Rs.1200 per module. In the case of candidates applying later than the last date for the examination, they will have to bear a late fee of Rs.250. In addition, if they change any examination medium or module or centre, they will have to bear Rs.250 extra.

For the Professional programme examination, physically challenged candidates are provided with the option to pay 25% of the fee applicable to general category candidates per module, which means 25% on Rs.1200.  In the case of SC/ST candidates, the concession applicable is 50% of fee paid by general category candidates.

CS Professional Admit Card:

Once the e-admit card is made available to candidates taking up examination in a given month, be it December or June, notification in this regard is generally published on the official website of the ICSI at http://www.icsi.edu/Student/Examination.aspx.
